For 52 years, this family has been the heart of our community. From the original Mountaineer Restaurant to the now Mary’s Country Kitchen, they’ve spent over half a century feeding us and looking out for us.
Now, they are at risk of closing their doors for good, and we can’t let that happen. 💔
This family is the first to step up when someone is in need. Most recently, they went above and beyond to support our neighbors after Hurricane Helene. Now, it’s our turn to show up for them.

🍳 Eat Breakfast: Grab a table at Mary’s Country Kitchen for the best home-cooked meal in town.
✂️ Treat Yourself: The daughter’s family-owned hair salon is right next door! Make it a "Self-Care Morning"—get your hair done and grab a delicious breakfast right after.
📍 Where: 486 George Wilson Rd, Boone, NC. Tuesday thru Friday 6am-11am. Yes their hours are short but its because the business is having to cut hours.
Small businesses like this are what make Boone special. Let’s pack the house this week and make sure Mary’s stays open for another 50 years!
