Julian Bottle feeding Piglets
I have several litters due over the next several weeks. I have a list I keep in order for new homes.
If you are interested I will add your name to the list in the order it is given.
Price of piglets $80
Price covers bottles, my time, piglet and a trip bottle warm and ready for your drive home.
Piglets will be put on replacement colostrum for the first 24 hours. I will post photos and they will be ready once the milk replacer begins after the initial 24 hours.
Goats milk and Lambs milk are both recommended, however I believe the goats milk is better. Including colostrum at night mixed with the chosen replacer has worked best for myself.
* Piglets require a heat lamp for the first two weeks of life. A sustainable 95 degree temperature is required.
* If you are new to pigs please do your research online from multiple sources.
* Pigs are highly intelligent, they will house train and trick train.
* Can be used as a farm meat crop, owners choice.
* Piglets need to be fed every two hours for at least the first 24 hours for immunity purposes. No longer than every four hours recommended over a two week span. Night feeding is required for a healthy and happy piglet.
* After two weeks I recommend washing them with a warm wash cloth. It makes cleanliness easier as they grow older. They will pick their feet up for you to wash them down if started around two weeks.
* Hay or other bedding is required, please check any bedding for health risks to piglets before purchasing.
* I will provide one bottle filled and warm with the piglet upon purchase. I want to ensure there feeding during transportation for long trips.
* Please leave your name and number in the email. I will respond asap. Let me know your preference of male or female. Males seem to be more predominant in litters.
Please don't skip read, location is provided in this add.
I can not drive half way to ... I have many animals on my farm that requires constant oversight.
Please, research on your own before getting excited and having no clue how to care for a piglet. They are born with teeth and tusk. Breeding isn't recommended until 1-2 years of age for the overall health of male and female.
