Fixed Male LGD for sale. Almost 2 yrs old. Needs to be on a property away from any roads, he has decided cars are the enemy and our neighbors are very unhappy with his presence. He takes his job seriously and is brave. Does best with predictable routine. We’ve tried to contain him but with mixed success, we live too close to a road for him to succeed here. Has lived with goats and chickens, does well with both, will guard his food and water from livestock, so he needs his own space for eating and his own water in a space away from the livestock water. Ours is set up in the goat yard, I just feed him away from where the goats are eating. Very sweet and loving boy, he is well socialized with other humans and dogs. LOVES people, would be best suited to a home without small children and a home where he will be well loved, not just left out in a field alone. He’s grown up with our toddler, and is good with her for the most part, only gets grumbly with her if she tries to crawl on him. Does great in the car and on a leash. Is trained to stay out of the house, knows sit, wait, down, out accompanied with a snap of the fingers. Will get along with other male dogs for the most part, but typically wants to be alpha, has led to some tiffs, though he’s quick to listen about breaking it up, does great with females. He’s eager to please, very intelligent and very obedient (especially compared to his very stubborn sister). Wish we didn’t have to let him go, but the road drama is too much for us. He is tightly bonded to his sister and hasn’t left the property more than 2-3 times. There will be an adjustment period for his move, and he needs someone who is ready to be patient with his transition. Though I know once he settles into a routine and learns to trust his new handler, he will do great. Happy to answer any questions, have done LOADS of LGD research and am happy to share what I know. I suggest doing the same if it’s your first experience with LGD. NOT suited for a small yard or indoor dog. He needs a job and several acres to roam or his working dog genes get misplaced in problematic ways.
