Dorothy- not registered but could be, both parents are. 1 year old, very sweet and gentle gal. Does well on the stand. Very soft fiber. $500
Herbie- intact, full blood Angora. Not registered but could be, both parents are. The sweetest boy, so kind and friendly he could be in a petting zoo like his mama Lacey. Lovely fiber with lots of tight curly character. 1 year old. $500
Howl- brother to Herbie. Intact, full blood angora. Not registered but could be, both parents are. Would make a lovely stud. Curly soft locks, a friendly disposition, the hardiest of the herd. He’s very goat like in his curiosity. 1 year old. $500
I bought the herd together, and I didn’t know much about goat keeping at the time. With two small children and a homestead to tend to, the addition of the goats was too much for us to be able to handle with grace. Our climate isn’t well suited to their needs, too wet and cold, and after winter their hooves need some close care to get them back up to speed. I recommend someone who has some level of experience with hoof care for these. They’re so friendly and good with my children. They don’t challenge fences at all and we often let them out of the pen to graze and they stay close by. They do well on walks through the forest and over to neighbors fields, in fact they love walks! They’ve been around LGD’s and understand the deal with them. Angoras require more care than your average goat, so please be aware of this when purchasing!
