Beautiful Japanese collectable doll from Kyoto. Very rare to find Japanese doll in this sitting position. Handmade in Kyoto by specialist: Kyoto Doll Workshop by Go shu-saku (豪勝作) or Go shu (豪勝) Kyoto Dolls Ltd.
Yamashina, Kyoto. 6 Nishinoyama Nakaomi-cho, Yamashina Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture
Appears to be fine porcelain, just about 3 inches tall.
Includes red sitting pillow and small wooden sign and also the original box when purchased in Kyoto in the 1990’s. Wood sign says standing doll made by (作) Sei-zan(蜻山)
